Why The Bridge?
“The Bridge” may seem like an unlikely name for a church, until you consider the fact that God sent His Son to be a bridge to fallen man. By laying down His life for all mankind, Jesus became the bridge to a relationship with God.
Once restored to God, the church is to be a place that links people together to become the body of Christ, and so the church is a bridge to one another in the family of God.
Finally, the church is God’s bridge to a lost world. Jesus did His part by laying down His life for the world, but now God works through the church to extend the message of love and forgiveness.
Proclaiming Jesus, our bridge to God, a bridge to one another and a bridge to lost world.

The Dream
The Bridge Community Church...
...is the dream of a diverse group of people united in their love for God and their desire to make Him known.
...is the dream of a welcoming community where the outcast, the downcast, the lost and lonely, the broken and hurting are loved and accepted so they can receive a new start in life and experience the transforming power of Christ.
...is the dream of a church committed to clear biblical teaching that accurately presents Christ and leads to true life change.
...is the dream of a praying people partnering with God to see His kingdom extended in the earth, and a church inhabited by God’s Spirit.
...is the dream of a church that worships in a contemporary style and seeks to communicate in the language of today’s culture so that the timeless truths of God’s Word can be readily understood by both the churched and the un-churched.
...is the dream of a church where people are truly connected to one another in meaningful small groups relationships, not only learning and growing together, but loving and serving one another, laughing and crying together through the joys and the sorrows of life.
...is the dream of a church where every member is valued and cared for and where everyone is a minister, equipped to serve with their unique talents and gifts.
...is the dream of a church that knows how to have fun and enjoy the God-given gift of laughter while engaged in the most serious business on the planet.
...is the dream of a place where children and youth receive age-appropriate ministry that introduces them to a God who loves them and supplies them with an unshakeable foundation for life.
...is the dream of an outwardly focused church that is committed to being Jesus to the world, serving our way into the hearts of people through acts of kindness, giving away to others what God has freely given to us.
...is the dream of a church that embraces the Great Commission, doing all we can to bring the good news of Jesus where He is not yet known.
We are committed to doing whatever it takes to make this dream a reality because we believe our dream is God’s dream for The Bridge Community Church of Northern Kentucky.
